The life of Pablo Picasso

 His full name is 23 words long! Take a deep breath... it’s Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Martyr Patricio Clito Ruíz y Picasso.

1.  first word was 'piz', short for the Spanish word for pencil.

2. He painted his first painting aged nine, depicting a bullfighter.

3. He had his first art exhibition at just thirteen years old when his father gave up art because he believed Pablo to be more talented.

4. He didn’t enjoy school and was often in detention.He produced thousands of paintings and sculptures over his lifetime.  

5. He used unconventional ways of making his art - he used things like sand, plaster, newspaper and wallpaper to achieve different textures.In 1911, he was suspected of having stolen the Mona Lisa, but he was innocent.

6. In the 1930s, he became fascinated with a mythological creature, the Minotaur.The Nazi party wouldn’t allow him to display his art in Germany.
